VEDI is a safe video viewing platform for children. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected when you use our application.

🛡️ COPPA Compliance: VEDI is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect personal information from children under 13.

📋 Information We Collect

Default Usage (Anonymous)

The application works by default without requiring any personal information:

• Device ID (UUID): An anonymous identifier to recognize your device. This is not associated with your name or personal information.
• Language Preference: The device language to determine app language.
• Age Group Selection: The selected age group to provide appropriate content.

Optional: Account Linking via Email

Parents who wish to use the app on multiple devices can optionally create an account with their email address:

• Email Address: For account creation and multi-device synchronization (parent's only)
• Password: For account security (encrypted with bcrypt)

Information Collected from Children

We collect NO personal information from children. The application operates entirely under parental control, and no data identifying the child is stored.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ Name, surname
• ❌ Phone number
• ❌ Photos or videos
• ❌ Location data
• ❌ Social media accounts
• ❌ Contact lists
• ❌ Any personal information belonging to the child

💾 Data Storage

Your data is stored in two locations:

On Device (Local Storage)

• Video viewing preferences
• Parental settings (PIN protected)
• Added custom videos
• Hidden videos list

On Server

• Anonymous device ID (UUID)
• Settings data for synchronization
• Viewing statistics (anonymous)
• Optional: Email address (if account linked)

🔄 Data Usage

The data we collect is used only for:

• ✅ Providing personalized video recommendations
• ✅ Synchronizing your settings across devices
• ✅ Improving application performance
• ✅ Identifying and resolving technical issues

We strictly do NOT:

• ❌ Use it for advertising purposes

The VEDI app and website:

• PIN Security: Hashing with bcrypt algorithm
• API Security: UUID-based authentication
• Data Isolation: Each device data is kept separate
• Regular Backups: Data is backed up regularly

🌍 International Data Transfer

Your data is stored on secure servers located in Turkey. No international data transfer occurs. Compliance with KVKK and GDPR requirements is ensured.
